Stephanie Chiodras is a light soprano based out of the Chicagoland area. Her credits include: The Magic Flute (“Papagena”), Die Fledermaus (“Adele”) La Musica and La Speranza (L’Orfeo), and The Pirates of Penzance (“Edith”) with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. 

Stephanie is Wheaton College Conservatory graduate, and received her Masters in Vocal Performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In her senior year of undergrad, she was awarded 1st place in the Wheaton College Vocal Concerto Competition of 2018. She thoroughly enjoyed playing Susanna in scenes from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, and also had the opportunity to cover the role of Tink Enraught in The Last American Hammer, written by Peter Hilliard and Matt Boresi. 

In October of 2021, she won 1st place in the Central Region NATS Artist Awards competition and participated in the semi-final round in New York City. She then had the privilege of being in the cast of Sweeney Todd (“Ensemble, Beggar Woman u/s”) with Kokandy Productions in Chicago, IL. Most recently, she joined the chorus of Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company’s HMS Pinafore (Ensemble, Josephine u/s).  She most recently had the opportunity to sing the soprano solos for Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42 at College Church in Wheaton, as well as excerpts from Mendelssohn’s Elijah also in Wheaton. 

In addition to performing, Stephanie takes joy in inspiring others to sing. She has taught middle school and high school students and encouraged them to find their confidence through music.
